In order to ensure the safety of all road users, when a vehicle changes direction drivers should observe the following:
•Turn on the indicator light as soon as possible, so other road users have time to respond.
•Use the rearview mirror and look around to make sure you are aware of vehicles in the immediate vicinity
•Keep the indicator light on until the turn or change of lane is completed
Owners of mini two-wheel electric vehicles are required to ensure their indicator lights remain in good working order. The maximum fine for illegally modifying the lights or a broken light is NT$1,200
