Traffic safety policy for foreign students in Taiwan:
1. Drivers/riders of motor vehicles or motorcycles should hold the driving license issued by the Republicof China Motor Vehicle Office. Every motor vehicle or motorcycle should have the vehicle registration.2. It is a legal requirement for all drivers to have Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance (CALI). (Drivers are advised to have Third Party Liability Insurance to reduce the coverage of third-party damages.
3. Obey the traffic rules. Avoid speeding, avoid driving drunk, avoid running red lights, avoid driving without a driving license.
