Scams involving online shopping package pickups at convenience stores are common. Please be vigilant

A:Hi! I would like to pick up a package.

B:The name of the sender of the package is listed as “not the seller.” These are usually package pickup scams. Are you sure this is something you ordered?

A:I’m not really sure, but I received a text message saying that a package of mine had arrived and I could pick it up.

B:If you’re not sure you actually bought this item, we strongly suggest you return it.

Scammers use convenience store package pickup services to scam victims. If the name of the sender includes the phrases “not the seller” or “sent on behalf of the seller,” it is likely a scam. When picking up online shopping packages, be sure to confirm your order history to avoid being scammed.
